Great atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. I had the Molcajete de Camarones. I was skeptical about ordering a non-standard Mexican dish, but took a chance on choosing something different. I was simply amazed at how delicious it was! My husband had a carne asada burrito and it was equally delicious! Also, their red and green chile were med-mildly spicy, not burn-your-face-off hot
Los Potrillos was our lunch stop during a vacation in Santa Fe, as we were craving some authentic Mexican food. The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. They served the best beef fajitas I’ve ever had. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely be a regular guest."
Large menu with creative choices. Service was fantastic. I had to try their version of Chiles en Nogada which was the best I’ve had. They had a large choice of Mexican beer. Couldn’t have been better and was reasonably priced.
Los potrillos hands down the best authentic Mexican food in Santa Fe. Probably in the entire state the food was delicious. The service was great. Great ambience. We were seated immediately. We were served within a few minutes. Everything was cooked to perfection. The seafood was fresh, the beef was tender. The vegetables were fantastic the Pico de Gallo had cactus and it was amazing. All the vegetables were fantastic. The rice was very good and tasted very authentic. They serve alcohol but we passed on it this time, but the tea was delicious. Wasn't from a machine, it was made fresh not sure what brand they used. I should have asked. The tortillas were warmed on the grill, not in a microwave. That is a major plus for me.
The food here was very good. The service was great. The atmosphere was amazing. I loved all the personal touches in the restaurant. It was a great first experience of New Mexican cuisine.
I think I’m in love. I went here on accident the first time, thought it looked unassuming on the outside—their sign is easy to miss. But I fell head over heels in love with their flavorful food, and promptly brought family back to try more. We wanted to make our way through their entire menu but didn’t have time on this visit. We were impressed with everything. Everything was generous—the flavor, the portion, the seasoning, the deliciousness, the nutrition, the atmosphere, the nice people working there. Wow!!!!!
As soon as I walked in I could tell this place was going to be interesting. The theme inside is horses. They have some incredible horse murals on the walls, wooden chairs with carved horses, and saddles. The menu is quite extensive and has a nice selection to choose from. We ordered the mole plate, four taco plate, shrimp soup, and Caldo de Res. Portions were huge and the quality and flavors were amazing. Service was excellent. Easy review… five stars for sure.
Los Potrillos in Santa Fe blew us away! The customer service was honestly the best we’ve experienced in town friendly, fast, and super welcoming. And the food? Absolutely bomb. Everything was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. We’ll definitely be back!
